You can join the trail in any of the 4 settlements on the island of Murter, but the "official" route starts in the very center of Murter, from where it first goes on asphalt and then on macadam towards the outer side of the island and the beaches of Podvrška and Slanica. In the warmer months, expect a lot of traffic and crowds on the trail. Upon arriving at Slanica, at kilometer 4, the trail turns into a hill where it begins a kilometer-long climb that will take you from sea level to 100 meters above sea level. The trail flattens out briefly at kilometer 6, where it joins the main road, and caution is required when exiting the road. The climb then continues along the main road, which the trail only follows for a short time, because at the first bend it continues straight on macadam and climbs to some of the highest points on the island. This is followed by a dirt descent towards Kosirina Bay, and then another climb towards the main road, which you exit again at kilometer 8.6. The route continues towards the settlement of Jezera, but very soon after a large intersection and entering Jezera itself, it turns right into the interior of the island, where the last serious climb on the route awaits you, 2 kilometers long, interspersed with several flat spots on the path. After that, you enter Jezera, pass through the very center of the town, and continue along the coastal promenade towards Tisno. After passing through Tisno, the route turns towards the Lovišća Campsite, and winds along the coast towards Betina, where it also passes through the center of the town. Before entering Murter, the route turns onto the beach around the peninsula and returns via Marina Hramina towards the center of Murter and the starting point.
