St. Ante Padovanski in Knin - a symbol of history, architecture, and spirituality
The Church of St. Ante Padovanski in Knin, built in the 18th century, is one of the city's symbols, holding significant historical and spiritual value. Located on the site of an old Croatian church, it features a three-nave plan with a semi-circular apse, constructed from finely carved stone. The wooden roof structure and the bell tower further enhance its beauty. After being set on fire in 1993, the church was rebuilt by the Franciscans in 1995 and consecrated in 1998. St. Anthony of Padua, to whom the church is dedicated, is known as a saint who helps those in need and protects the poor.
