Čorić's Tower

Čorić's Tower

A historic tower that preserves the stories of centuries past

Čorić's Tower in Vodice is a unique example of Renaissance defensive architecture, built in 1533. Its construction is linked to a contract between Hieronymus Saracenis and stone mason Ivan from Hvar. On the eastern wall of the tower, there's a coat of arms with the initials H S, referring to Saracenis, the first owner. Over the years, the tower changed hands; in the 17th century, it belonged to the noble family Fondra from Šibenik, who transformed it into a residential building. Today, Čorić's Tower stands as an important historical monument and is worth visiting for its rich history and well-preserved architecture, offering a glimpse into Vodice's past.
