The beauty of dalmatian hinterland.
For those who want to go a little further from the sea, a good choice is trail number 101, named Jarebinjak, after the nearby peak it passes over. Here, however, the landscape is somewhat different, and for a good part of the way you will move along a wide macadam road that is still gentler for walking. However, you will be faced with quite a difference in altitude, with 333 meters of climbing in just under 9 kilometers of the route. The route is ideal for exploring the olive groves and villages of the Rogoznica hinterland and is a good reminder of how difficult it was to survive and feed yourself in the Dalmatian karst through the centuries. The views of the Rogoznica region from here are truly impressive, so download the GPS track on the bike&hike page and get on with the road.
