One of the largest and oldest European fortresses
The place where four of the Croatian kings held their throne over a thousand years ago. The ancient fortress of Knin captures the hearts of visitors with its beauty and mysterious untold stories. It's located at 345m above sea level and 100m above the city of Knin. It is 470m long and surrounded by almost 2 kilometers of walls.
The fortress is located in Knin, a city surrounded by nine mountains, seven clear rivers and beautiful lakes, which, because of their wonderful colors, deserved a name "The Colorful lakes". The spring of the Krka river is located in Knin. The unique natural monument, placed at the foot of the waterfall of another river, which ends its journey there.
The Knin fortress can be reached on foot, by car or by bicycle. At the end of the steep climb, there is a valuable reward for the visitor - a view of the city of Knin, the surrounding river valleys and mountains that await to be explored.

The Krčić River Canyon is, without competition, my favorite area in and around Knin. This is a place that can be explored on foot, by bicycle, or even by car, but it is most often experienced in the simplest and best possible way: walking. We walk through the canyon, run along its trails, guide tours here, and spend our free time in this remarkable landscape, often without any specific plan, simply because of the feeling it provides.
