The skraping adventure route – from Jezera to the lighthouse, through stone and nature
This route will take you from the center of Jezera, through the island fields and olive groves, to the cove of St. Nikola, where the real adventure begins, the fight for the coastal Dalmatian karst. Fast walking and running on stone sikas and screes, even a branded Croatian product calls it "škraping", and if you want to try it and try it, there is no better place than this. From the cove of St. Nikola to the Murtarić peninsula, a real stone challenge awaits you that will require some physical fitness and a lot of technique as you overcome stone obstacles on the outer, untouched part of the island. The nature here is untouched, the sea is crystal clear, and the view of the Kornati in the distance is simply tempting. Do not set out on this trail in summer slippers or flip-flops unless you want to have close encounters with the stone, sneakers are a much more comfortable and safer solution. The path will slowly lead you to the small peninsula of Murtarić, across which a narrow path leads to its outer side where the lighthouse is located. Some things cannot be described in words, so it is only a recommendation, take a walk to the lighthouse and enjoy the view from the lookout looking in all directions. After Murtarić, the road becomes gentler, and along a narrow forest trail that follows the coastline about 15 meters from the sea, you will get to know two slightly less famous Murter bays, but no less beautiful. Koromašnica and Lučica will enchant you with the color of the sea, the beauty of the beach and nature. From Lučica, back towards Jezera through fields and olive groves, the best way to find out where that delicious oil you tried in the restaurant last night comes from.
