Poljana is the central city square of Šibenik and a gathering place for locals and visitors. It is located at the entrance to the historic city center. Recently renovated, it combines modern design with rich cultural heritage. Beneath the square lies an underground garage, making it an ideal starting point for exploring old Šibenik. Poljana is surrounded by significant and attractive historical buildings. The Juraj Šižgorić City Library is one of the most notable examples of 20th-century socialist architecture. The Croatian National Theater building serves as a hub for Šibenik's cultural life. Visitors may find the most fascinating feature to be the bronze sculpture that depicts the entire historic city center from a bird’s-eye view.
