Prižba Srima is known for its archaeological remains, especially the basilicas. It is worth visiting for its historical significance and well-preserved remains from the early Christian period.
Archaeological research at the Srima site, led by Zlatko Gunjača, was conducted from 1969 to 1974, followed by conservation. Two single-nave basilicas were discovered, built at different times, known as basilicae geminatae or "twin churches." Their purpose is not fully explained, but they are believed to combine congregational churches and memorial ones for the cult of relics. Examples of such structures are found throughout Roman Dalmatia and the Mediterranean. Although the exact date of construction is unclear, stylistic analysis of the stone furniture places them in the 6th century.
