Bucavac vineyards - a combination of natural beauty, historical heritage and excellent wines
Bucavac, a vineyard called stone lace because of its appearance, is located 3 km south of Primošten and is an immovable cultural asset. Vlačice with only a few vines are framed by shallow dry walls and form pockets that protect the soil from erosion. At the same time, this makes them workable only by human manual labor and prevents access to any type of machine. Babića grapes from Bucavac are therefore one of the most valued grapes in Croatia, especially when the extremely low yields are taken into account in addition to the cultivation method.
However, it is precisely in these sunny positions with little precipitation that babić achieves its perfect balance and gives the potential for the highest quality wine. The intoxicating smell from the humped vines and the work of rare and hard-working winegrowers give us an idea of the passion for wine and respect for the land here. Babić wine from Bucavac is a top wine and an unmistakable ambassador of Primošten all over the world, and whoever tastes it for a moment conveys the richness of tradition, a touch of the Mediterranean and the power of the sun, sea, wind and man.
